Still Austin came to CF Napa Brand Design to create their custom bottle as well as the labels for their whiskeys and gin. The labels needed to communicate the dream and idea that is Still Austin, as well as the soul and personality of the city of Austin. CF Napa developed a concept for the brand built on the various archetypes of the people that make the city of Austin so unique. CF Napa designed the packaging system and commissioned artist Marc Burckhardt to bring the personalities to life.
‘The Musician’ for their flagship Bourbon Whiskey captured the free-spirited youth of an optimistic creator.
For the Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey, day became night as ‘The Musician’ plays against a starry sky; the darker colors represented the more intense experience of the limited-edition spirit.
‘The Naturalist’ for their Gin personified the botanical-rich beverage and represented the idea of living off the land and appreciating everything the earth provides.
For its limited release on Halloween, the design for Still Austin’s Monster Mash featured a delightfully spooky illustration by Dan Grissom.
CF Napa also designed the custom bottle with the Still Austin wordmark embossed on the front. The new look positioned the brand perfectly as a hand-crafted, locally sourced whiskey with the heart and spirit of Austin.
