The new sangria would include natural juices, purées, spices and Chilean Merlot along with a dash of brandy, increasing the alcohol content above their traditional sangria and commanding a higher price point. The new design needed to connect to their core line and have the festive feel of sangrias while also reflecting the more premium positioning.
CF Napa created a fresh and colorfully modern graphic of apples and raspberries. The contemporary illustration provided a clever representation of the flavor cues, and an elevated interpretation of the classic fruits found in sangria. The ingredients were listed prominently on the front label to clearly communicate the use of real fruit juices and spices that go into each bottle. CF Napa perfected the Señor Sangria icon for the entire portfolio so that it was a quicker read as a sangria pitcher. Gold foil details call attention to the fortified alcohol content of this specialty sangria.
