Over 100 years, the brand grew into the largest Whiskey brand in the country before ceasing operations. Generations later, Corning & Company is reviving the brand and came to us to develop the custom bottle, branding, and packaging. The new design needed to leverage historical brand assets, bringing them forward in a more contemporary way that is relevant for today’s consumer and market.
The shape of the custom bottle is modeled after one of the Old Quaker legacy bottles. We added a new lineal cartouche with a brand seal to the side, creating a bottle design that pays homage to the historical packaging while being unique and proprietary. The wordmark was completely reimagined with hand-drawn letterforms. The illustration on the label features the eponymous old quaker in a style and stance that bridges two eras. Each SKU is differentiated by color on the top strip and main label of each Whiskey, establishing a clear and functional label system with a modern sensibility.
