The name brings together the owner’s Alaskan roots, core values, and dedication to the Calistoga community. The Alaska state flag displays eight stars that together form the Big Dipper constellation and Polaris, or North Star– constellations used to determine true north.
We developed a wordmark and icon to encapsulate the meaning behind the name. The elegant, unique icon combines the number 8 with a representation of the North Star. Its strength is its simplicity. The icon can be used alone or with the wordmark, providing flexibility for the brand across different use cases.
