Following the launch of their Robert’s brand of Gin, Oak House Distillery came to CF Napa to create the packaging for their eponymous Rum series.

The Rums are a traditional Jamaican Style Rum, so it was imperative that the packaging include cues to this style of distilling.
Inspired by the storied connection between Rum, pirates, and the famous Captain Roberts, the most successful pirate in the Golden Age of Piracy, CF Napa drew an icon reminiscent of the recognizable Jolly Roger flag.
In CF Napa’s reimagining of the symbol, the skull wears a captain’s hat with an “O” initial representing Oak House. The crossbones are replaced with sugar cane as a nod to sugarcane molasses that is distilled for the Rums.
The black label completes the vision of a pirate flag and serves as the dramatic backdrop for the silver and gold foil details on their respective Rums.
