The design featured the Nickel family crest and honored his Viking ancestors. It was important for the redesign to be respectful of the original family crest that dates to the 15th century while creating a more elegant and premium package.
CF Napa redrew the chough bird with cleaner lines and the shield with curved edges and detailed shading to lend a more luxurious sensibility to the crest. The banner and grape clusters were removed to simplify the design – allowing the most iconic elements of the crest to stand out and aiding in the readability of the varietal and appellation. CF Napa reconnected the “Jeremy Nickel” and “Cellars” wordmarks into one cohesive, impactful lock up.
