The brand name, Ðồi Ðá, is Vietnamese for “Rocky Hill” and was inspired by the rock-strewn landscape of the previously undeveloped vineyard site. It was imperative that the design captured the rugged beauty of the property and pay homage to the brand owner’s Vietnamese heritage while staying true to the wine’s Napa Valley origins.
Inspired by the style of Asian landscape artwork, CF Napa commissioned a pen and ink style illustration of the Ðồi Ðá estate featuring the namesake rocky hill amongst the vines. The Vietnamese influence was further reflected in the debossed monogram icon and in the pop of red for the vintage date; these details complemented the crisp wordmark and heavy-textured cotton paper to create a look of timeless luxury synonymous with Napa Valley wines.
